problem with this, at least in canada, as interest rates go up it makes buying a place tougher. The large builders are offering first 3 years at a low interest rate, tack that cost into the price and people get into a place. HGX is made up of these large home builders. similar to here in canada. we have very large developers offering these deals to get people in. In Canada the mortgage rates have to be re-negotiated every 5 years. so if you have a 30yr mortgage you have to keep praying that the rates will drop by the time you have to renew for the next five years. Sorry for long post. Problem is that rates won't be going to zero any more. people don't realize that.
