After a full quarter of building a base, Hilton beat expectations on earnings. Hilton is still far off on earnings from a year ago, reporting non-GAAP earnings of $17m, or 6 cents per share, compared to $301m and $1.05 per share last year. That's better than a 0.61 cents loss per share from the previous quarter. Occupancy has recovered to 42% compared to 22% in the previous quarter. Still a ways to go, but its a start.
