IBB - iShares Biotech EFT - SHORT (Wyckoff Redistribution) Short

iShares Biotechnology ETFNASDAQ

Description

IBB looks to be in a Wyckoff Redistribution phase, with UTAD emerging currently.

On a larger time frame, looks as though a weekly H&S patter forming with the re-distribution section acting as the right shoulder.

My price target is $57, in line with the 1.618 fib extension.

your example is coming from a bearish trend, the trend is up...see at 145 soon.
BullBearBlair
@RedHandedBandit, Completion of the re-distribution would shift price into a bearish trend surely? I don't view price hitting $145 as invalidating this idea, a 4% move on the weekly timeframe doesn't change my thoughts. Price reaching $140 would arrive at the 50% fib sequence, so price is entering an interesting point. Are you bearish or bullish? Happy to hear an alternative explanation/view of what is happening/going to come!
RedHandedBandit
@BullBearBlair, Bullish.... if we close above 140 on a monthly we should see way more upside, 2 days left. Also, from what I gather this will do good as SPY will have its pullback in March. Cycles, seasonality and crap...
BullBearBlair
Interesting… why is closing above 140 important? Are you more into technicals or fundamentals?
RedHandedBandit
@BullBearBlair, 140 is the breakout of a triangle on most time frames...Technicals..
BullBearBlair
@RedHandedBandit, Do you have a picture/tradingview idea showing the triangle? I am struggling to see it
RedHandedBandit
@BullBearBlair, it wont let me post it in comments
BeyondBullishTrades
@RedHandedBandit I fully agree with your perspective. Furthermore, it's important to recognize that Wyckoff redistribution and re-accumulation phases can exhibit similar characteristics until a decisive breakout occurs in one direction. Analyzing higher timeframes (e.g., 2 weeks, 4 weeks, or beyond) significantly enhances clarity in such scenarios
BullBearBlair
@BeyondBullishTrades, I agree it is difficult to understand a re-distribution versus re-accumulation. But from my understanding, is the cycle not Accumulation, correction, re-accumulation, distribution? Then it goes from Distribution, correction, re-distribution, accumulation?

I can't see a previous re-distribution happening in order to allow for this to be an accumulation period? I think we are in a false breakdown/UTAD at current price ($138).

Any thoughts on my comment? Happy to have my mind changed but for now, I can't see how this could be a re-accumulation period from my perspective
BullBearBlair
@BullBearBlair, *False Breakout/UTAD at current price ($138)
