The Internet Computer is the world’s first blockchain that runs at web speed with unbounded capacity. It also represents the third major blockchain innovation, alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum — a blockchain computer that scales smart contract computation and data, runs them at web speed, processes and stores data efficiently, and provides powerful software frameworks to developers. The project was founded in October 2016 by Dominic Williams, and attracted notable interest from the crypto community. DFINITY raised a total of $121 million from contributors such as Andreessen Horowitz, Polychain Capital, SV Angel, Aspect Ventures, Electric Capital, ZeroEx, Scalar Capital, and Multicoin Capital, and several notable early Ethereum supporters. In 2018, over 50,000 registerter participants received ICP utility tokens in an airdrop. On December 18, 2020, DFINITY launched the alpha mainnet of the Internet Computer. In a final step towards decentralization, on May 10, 2021, DFINITY launched the Internet Computer into the public domain. This major milestone means that the internet now functions as a decentralized global computer — marked by the release of all of the Internet Computer’s source code into the public domain, as well as ICP utility token allowing tens of thousands of community members to govern the Internet Computer network.

@MyownAss_, why would u say that? Everyone who says scam or garbage never offers any reason for their line of thinking. They're usually just parroting what someone else said online & repeating it for whatever reason.
And to some extent i understand, most havent taken the time to research ICP. Not saying you but why do you think its garbage?

@Crypto-Fury, He most likely lost money after buying at plus $400 on day 1 lol. I'm down 50% on my initial positions as well but have been doubling down by accumulating hard at $100 - $115 for the past week to average out potential losses on those early positions. With the way the coins are divided and circulated, it makes me extremely worried about it's future value. That being said, I'm looking to simply break even and get out of this one. Simply too risky for my taste.

@Crypto-Fury Dfinity already want to hard fork to BDL. There’s no one developing on ICP, there’s no use, there was insider trading that made Dfinity billions, the nodes and node software require you to give your social security number to Dfinity, the only way to private the traffic is to route through Tor which you means nothing on the ICP blockchain is private, Dominic is trying to pay people ICP to doxx them, want me to keep going?

@Mattysalads, yeah ive since learned a lot more about the project & have found some things to not sound so great haha. They have a 20 year roadmap which is pretty crazy. But at this point i probably wouldnt buy any unless it hit $3-5 & think of it as a long term moonshot play haha
