Battle of the Fertilizer Stocks! $IPI vs $MOS - RATIO SMACKDOWN

80
IPI is dominating MOS in the fertilizer arena. The ratio between IPI and MOS has been coiling for a decade and recently broke out (top panel). IPI has been pumping higher: highly torqued (10 million share float), smashing earnings, and THE ONLY US producer of potash. IPI's management team has also amassed an impressive hoard of cash, whereas MOS has divested its US assets. Today (5-11-26), news was released that its margins are suffering from higher sulfur costs due to the war in Iran. IPI, on the other hand, sources its sulfur right here at home in the USA. Additionally, IPI continues to beat earnings, while MOS continues to miss.

Today's price action saw IPI up 15% and MOS down on the day. The ratio breakout suggests investors are rotating from MOS into $IPI.
