KOLD ProShares UltraShort Bloomberg Natural Gas is two times the inverse (-2x) of the daily performance of Natural Gas. KOLD is a short of an index of natural gas futures contracts. It reacts slightly different than shorting the spot price of natural gas. Natural Gas is often referred to by traders as the “Widow Maker” because of its hyper-volatility compared to other assets. The commodity has had wild swings the past two years especially.
I'm posting this as a long KOLD, which means a short on Natural Gas from 2.8usd/mmbtu. However, if Natural Gas breaks this 2023 trend and goes above 3usd/mmbtu this short thesis is invalidated. Here's a split frame 1 day chart of KOLD and NG1!.
Hello , how are you doing , where is the market going ? probably higher next year !!! what's going on with this kold in the premarket was close to $78 today . I guess manipulation , supply high, warm weather . I read that for the last 15 years kold has always gone up up in November / December and Boil up up in January/February !!!! I hope all is well with you !!!
kold might get to $ 70-72 gradually / boil good opportunity to buy

@elenaec It looks like nat gas is trying to find an equilibrium balance between 2 & 3. So 2.5 gives me zero speculation accuracy tbh. I think the only logical trade would be to hedge KOLD gains since I posted this at 55 would be sell half, hold half. I really don't see anything that jumps out to me on the charts right now except for a hedge. Keep in mind that's my opinion only. Nat gas is often referred to by traders as the “Widow Maker” because of its hyper-volatility. So do your own due diligence.

@elenaec I just posted a snapshot update with 2023 trend lines. The only thing is that it's the second half of the year. So it is still unknown how long this trend continues or if it doesn't work anymore.
