identifying historic cycles in LTC/BTC, waiting for next pivot

Short
BTCE:LTCBTC   None
Once again, we're in that phase where cries of "Litecoin is dead!" are everywhere. But no matter what you think about all the hip new trendy alt-coins with flashy features, the historical truth is that Litecoin has been on the exchanges for years, and has served generations of traders as a useful vehicle in and out of BTC (without touching fiat). Miners have been cranking away on litecoin for ages (and still will be with the new scrypt ASICS arriving). A quick look at this deep historical record shows we're on the low side of the cycle for sure. So even if you don't think litecoin will ever reach the same heights as its glory days, there's clearly room for profit.

So this chart isn't so much about projecting how high the next rally peak will go - there's plenty of evidence on this chart that LTC/BTC might be on a gradual lessening arc, not a straight logarithmic peak trajectory (Nov 2013 peak didn't reach the 100% channel top, and we've already sunk thru the bottom of the same channel). However, it's still a great ROI even if it never gets above the median of this fork. I'd even be perfectly happy if it topped at the green channel, around 0.08. Instead, I'm charting this to try to time the best entry. I'm expecting us to get below 0.01 again, possibly all the way to 0.008.
