Charlie Lee designed and programmed Litecoin to be the "Silver" to Bitcoin's "Gold". There is (ultimately) a 4:1 ratio of Litecoins to Bitecoins so it is not unreasonable to assume a 4:1 ratio of value. While no one knows if or when these things will happen, I certainly believe that $500 Litecoin is very possible by the end of the year.
