How I Day Trade The E-mini Nasdaq Education

E-mini Nasdaq-100 FuturesCME

Description

Simplicity is King when it comes to day trading futures. One of the keys for me when I am day trading futures is to find one side of the market to trade on and stick with it throughout the day. I think too many people get caught up trading both sides of the market and get themselves over trading. In today's video I show you a simple strategy using a 3 minute opening range along with an Anchored VWAP to help you determine if the day is going to be choppy, or a trend day. This strategy is something I use to determine direction for the day and can easily be used as an addition to your strategy to give you confirmation of trend.

Past Performance is not indicative of future results. Derivates trading is not suitable for all investors. This is not investment advice.

Why would you not buy when the price is below the VWAP line? So in your chart, when the price is below $13266? Would that not be a good time to buy?

@brendajanemitchell, I dont buy against the trend because I dont have a good stop. The risk reward is greater when you buy against the current trend. I discussed in the video that I would be getting short if the vwap was below the 3 min opening range. These markets lately can run in one direction for some time so why would I take the risk of going against the trend when theres so much follow through going with the trend.

Hi. Nice video. Have a question - what VWAP indicator and parameters you use in tradingview?
anthonycrudele
@andreitallinn, I use the anchored vwap. Standard parameters. I remove the lower and upper bands.

@anthonycrudele, thanks man!

I love how you ranged your no trading zone! People think trading is all about finding entry points as many as possible, but trading actually is all about finding no trading zone.

Why is the opening range so important that it sets the trend strategy for the remaining day?
anthonycrudele
@flyfish2011, its important because the opening orders have a lot of volume and many of those orders are orders that have to be done on the open. a lot of what happens the rest of the day comes from what happens in the opening range.

Nonsense. Why you couldn’t catch the pop from the 3m zone? You’ll only able to guess it but not strategy for taking a position. It’s easier said after everything happens
