Of course it is only one way of swing identification. I, define swings differently from Gann, I Calculate correction structure+correction size. Which, indeed is that thing that separates one impulse from another. There are lots of ways to do that. Choose one and you will always know that you take the same XA every time you find a pattern.
Your bat is not for 240, you'd better switch it to Daily or even 4-Day chart so your XA swing will look like single movement.
Remember, different XA types - different strategies. Even if you trade only bats you are trading different strategies if you take different XA types. Because there are more than 20 ways of defining swings you maybe trading 20 strategies. Did you test all of these 20? Is the result on every of these strategies predictable for you? And of course each strategy gives its own drawdown. Let's take minimum 5%. What if all 20 strategies give you a drawdon of 5% each simultaneously? Will your deposit survive that? And multiply that by the number of pairs you trade!
Think of that and work out a very sound way of XA identification BEFORE you even try to remember the ratios of bats, gartleys, cyphers, sharks, 5-0, crabs, eagles, black swang and the like.
Have a good day!)
thanks for your correction, it's very useful to me to increase my knowledge in five month trade, I really appreciate. (sorry for my English)
