Waiting for a triangle breakout

As we can see there is an impulsive move up followed by a developing triangle pattern.
I am waiting for a breakout before entering. I'm trying to be patient this time and not jump the gun.

Price did break but it was to the downside. And this is why we don't jump the trade and just enter whenever.

Should I have shorted when price broke? I should have. That's still 30 pips worth of profit after all. Only I was asleep that time. :/

Totally should have shorted. Although to be fair, I was asleep at the time of the breakout. Recurring problem, things move when I am away. :(
