Nice trade Philip! I was trading a Bearish Gartley on EUR/NZD and was on the wrong side of the move. How does the news effect the way you trade? Do you ever cancel your pending orders when big news is about to hit? Since I started trading patterns a short time ago I have seen news events blow out patterns over and over again. Thank you so much for your analysis and YouTube videos. You have helped me become a better trader. Here is what happened to the EUR/NZD Trade.

Hello Rick, thank you for your kind words. I had a look at your pattern, but I see that the C leg is closed below the A leg, making that pattern invalid unfortunately. As regard to trading news, I tend to leave my trades alone during the news. So I'm aware of the news, but I don't react to it. I tend to trade out of the news and not into the news.
That's to say, if I have a position on and there's a news event, I will leave my trade on as that is part of my rule set in my trading plan.
