Platinum Longterm Long timestamp Long

PLATINUM (US$/OZ)TVC

Description

Platinum is cheaper than gold? that's silly. Bunch more reasons to go long, but I just want to share my bets.

Also, if you want to hedge USD hyperinflation risk, and you don't want to buy more cryptocurrency, maybe think about adding platinum to your portfolio?

Comment

Moving some of the stops up towards $758, hasn't moved quick enough so far. What I take off early will be used later--this is all part of a long term metals trade

Holding platinum is trying to avert risk from the Fed buying treasuries (aka printing USD and giving it to the Gov)

Comment

It doesn't look good on a small time frame, I'm moving my stops real close to current price

Comment

Entry around $816, current price around $873. The whole trade is still on, but everything's set to breakeven.

Not getting my hopes up. A stop run of $750 seems pretty likely, but that's nothing to fear now :-)

Comment

I’m over 1 R:R so taking risk off is a fine idea. also, moving some stops up above breakeven—going lower here would imply sub $800 where I can try again.

Comment

every stop is being moved to break even or in profit

Is it better to buy lower at 785 entry level?

@mehmetgdogan, I don't know what's better or worse, that's dependent on the context in which you trade. I'm not qualified to make that decision for anyone else, just for myself.

As mentioned above, I'm treading carefully, moving my stops up much closer to the current price, between $758-$780. My suspicion is if we break through my those levels we'll get to atleast $700--maybe lower.
