There are a lot of liquidations going on in a lot of stocks - especially tech stocks with sky high PEs. But one stock sticks out to me as worth a look - a mortgage REIT whose symbol is IVR. The book value of IVR is $17.50ish, the stock is at $10.50 area. The yield is in the range of 15%ish. The assets are high quality tranches of commercial and home mortgages with some auto and student loan stuff most likely - thoroughly vetted stuff. The managers are very experienced. So what gives? You got me - yield, good assets and no crappy unicorns. Good place to be, along with gold, short banks etc in a bear market.
