How can you overspend on a product and then be forced to sell it again for much less than your capital expenduture on that project? That is a recipe for disaster. But this is what happens if you overspend and then the market conditions turn against you. Sasol was caught with its pants on its knees.
Stay away from Sasol. Wait for rights issue next year and then do a critical evaluation again.
