ReallyMe
i don't really care much about p/e and such, but from a purely chart technical point of view (what the market thinks) Shopify is a very promising stock right now. i thought i'd just note that here. thanks for your analysis, good stuff!
ReallyMe
@ReallyMe, a brief explanation of why i'm not that into p/e. the T-800 taught me that. because the 10th terminator rule is: the idea of “value” has limited value in these markets. click on the chart below to read all ten T-800 market rules. hasta la vista, baby :-)
ReallyMe
@ReallyMe, the Terminator is currently more attached to Gold than to anything else anyway. the Skynet computer has calculated this for him... :-)

@ReallyMe, its gonna be wild for sure isnt it. did gold make new high or just kiss it today :O history is being made today.

@ReallyMe, i used to focus on charts only. then i learned that charts are based on people, but the stocks are connected to businesses. I saw the deep discounts in 2008 and I messed up a trade that would be worth 6.4 million today. so i paid to learn a lesson. i was too bearish for too long because i kept looking at the chart. i didnt understand businesses. positive cashflow business grow. thats all. they get hurt in recessions too. but companies that even just grow a little, they become larger over 10 and 20 years. i spent the last 15 years trying to learn that, yes im slow :D.

@optionfarmers, none of us ever really knew what the future would be like, nor ever will. the future is not set. there is no fate but what we make for ourselves. the experiences we have are the most valuable and make us who we are. you can't learn that from someone else in advance. you can only live through them and grow from them.

@ReallyMe, so true. its amazing thinking back to those moments and remembering what they felt like and what people around us were saying and thinking.i remember peak 2006/7 and the pits of 2008/9 and no one knew anything at both of those :D
