Making A Signal In Tradingview Pinescript In Under 20 Minutes Education

S&P 500SP

Description

Have you ever wanted to combine two technical analysis indicators into a single signal to find your own way of making profit? This video is a tutorial where I take two stock Tradingview Pinescript indicators and combine them into a signal that makes it easier for the user to spot with their eyes when an even occurs on a chart. By following along I hope the viewer can learn the basic process of repeating this for their own research!

Hope you don't mind a few programmer tips like ...
- you don't need to type "movingaverage" 5 times repeatedly (irritating to you). You can either copy it once and mark and paste the rest, or do a search and replace.

I have been using a manual MACD (default setting) + Bollinger band (default setting) + RSI Stochastic (default setting) + Hull MA (50) and though I've been using TV since its early days, been too lazy to program it.

Your tutorial has kicked me into action to convert that "strategy" above into a reliable algo and thank you very much for that. Will share it once its done along with backtest results.

Under certain conditions, there is also value in tracking large directional candles which appears after a few (3-6) small sized candles and if this results in reversals, this can also be used as a continuation model until the next reversal. I want to also include this pattern after testing it independently for reliability and accuracy.

Thank you once again.
