The Great Contraction - Part 1: The Preface

I'm going to be doing a series of posts using charts of many different global markets to explain and support this thesis of mine. I have lots of charts and topics ready to be covered, but I want to get this preface out there now, so expect several additions tomorrow and many more in the coming weeks and months as this begins to play out. I'll make this one quick though and just kinda point out the overall concept and some topics.

Basically, I think we're going to see the complete de-financialization of the global economy, debasement of foreign currencies, and widespread sovereign debt crises. The fiat currency experiment has been an absolute disaster ever since Bretton Woods in '71 as a result of the lack of monetary definition & understanding by the policy makers, that decided to continue to use an expectation-based system which led to the enormous growth in offshore shadow banking, massive market bubbles, over-leveraging, and eventually lender distrust, global dollar shortage, and complete monetary collapse which was then bandaged over with QE that exacerbated the issue and has left the world in a silent depression for over a decade while consolidating wealth at the top. Whether the Central Bankers have done all of this on purpose or they're genuinely just that moronic is a different story, but I'll try to keep my tinfoil hat sidelined for this series. All that I know is that the CoVid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns were the worst case scenario for a global economy and monetary system that was already on the verge of collapse.

Much more to come, stay tuned.
