SPX Predictions (04/27/2020- 05/01/2020) Short

S&P 500SP

Description

FA
-Earnings will be released this week. Here is the list:
reddit.com/r/RobinHood/comments/g7cz7j/most_anticipated_earnings_releases_for_the_week/
-FED pumps schedule
newyorkfed.org/markets/domestic-market-operations/monetary-policy-implementation/repo-reverse-repo-agreements/repurchase-agreement-operational-details
-Central and national banks meetings schedule:
dailyfx.com/central-bank-calendar
-Unemployment claims: Thursday (04/30/2020)
Overall: This week will be extremely volatile due to the release of important data. First of all, the central and national banks worldwide will have meetings this week. The full report and real economy data will be the key to determine
the impact of COVID-19 on a global scale. Earnings this week are mostly tech companies, however, these earnings only capture a small part of the shut down (starting from March 13th). FED balance sheet will shoot up 7.2 trillion, a historical high. Small business loans will also be distributed this week. Most economists are having concerns about the real economy data vs the stock market, citing the FED actions are doing more harm than helping. Oil has not yet recovered from the oversupply. Cuts will begin in May 1st, until then, the oil will keep crashing.
Bottom line: I will stick will bearish.
Please jot down the schedules of all information provided above.

TA
-SPX can re-test the 2880 level on Monday, then drop to ~2700 level.
-Squeeze momentum and RSI are having bearish movements on the daily chart.
-VIX will come back high.

I hope the information is helpful and I want to clear up the misunderstandings in my daily predictions and a bigger picture.
Thank you and good luck

Nasdaq is interestingly weaker than SP500 today...

@Aurelie217, big tech companies are overbought

Great analysis as always! Got myself a couple hundreds of DRVs, will get more tomorrow if market decides to go up again. The top 5 stocks now accounts for 20% of SP500, some of them already ATH. How high they can pump more?
LagunitaLLC
@nevermadeapenny, FED pumped mortgage back securities this moring. Good chance to buy DRV though
