Big Price Moves, Even Up, Are Not a Sign of a Bull Market

S&P 500SP

Description

Below the S&P 500 chart is a 1-period ROC (rate of change) showing the percentage moves each day.

Bullish periods are calm, typically having moves of less than 1.5% a day (based on closes).

Big moves to the uspide or downside typically only occur in corrections.

The biggest upside days in the market occur during bear markets!

yes bear market rallies are fast and furious

shorts just get slaughtered on upside then market starts falling again

for the moment this seems that is what is going on

So did we reach the bottom already? Demark told price will bottom at 2097 within next a few weeks. U agree? I plotted Fibs on Dow Jones and it already touched 38 retracement, maybe that was it?

@RomanZachary, I don't know. But I am willing to buy major indexes near prior lows. Some reliable indicators point to a bottom being in place.
Published a longer article today on VantagePointTrading looking at the whole scenario and how it affects my trading.
