I don't know about you, but this looks like a massive slow moving bubble waiting to pop. No different looking than a bitcoin bubble but at a longer time scale. Economic corrections stopped being allowed after the great recession of 2008 and this is showing the inevitable consequence.
For where they want the economy to be headed....ASSETS have power over people. Land, stocks, crypto and precious metals. Owning ASSETS and making them harder to afford for people means that people are easier to control. Having a weak economy and hyper inflated assets is the best case scenario for the uber wealthy.
