This is a graph of the SP500 (in red) vs some of the largest "food" companies on earth... together the top 100 control less then 5% of the global retail?
I was particularly interested in how "costco" was doing as the "second" largest retailer on earth as well as the UK's "tesco" a large food company. It maybe that they are doing a lot better then the SP500 however "larger and larger" food companies are "not working" in europe... and soon "too big" maybe a problem even for the food giants?
Of the top 10 retailers many of them are really related to foods.. and even amazon purchased "whole foods" as its largest acquisition?
Walmart is maybe 4x or even 5x the size of Costco and Costco is a very large company!?

Also interesting is the exact locations that CostCo is working in...
Locations As of October 2019, Costco has 785 warehouses worldwide[1] as shown below:[18]
546 in the United States 100 in 9 Canadian provinces 39 in Mexico 29 in the United Kingdom 26 in Japan 16 in South Korea 14 in Taiwan 11 in Australia 2 in Spain 1 in Iceland 1 in France 1 in Shanghai, China
Would it be possible for these super large food companies to work on "smaller" not always larger stores.. to help the locals and with foods sustainability?
its interesting to point out that foods companies like COSTCO have more then 3x gone up faster then all of the largest companies on the SP500? might not continue if the quality of "large scale" COSTCO/WALMART? food isn't there? one problem is its a good idea to "sell" when the price is too high.. so what does this mean for the future of COSTCO? and foods in general?
