Nice chart, I agree with your observation. Usually I am a long only SPX futures trader, avoiding the brief (so far) decline interludes, but it seems that this situation will probable change soon, when a major trend reversal takes place. This would constitute shorts more profitable on average, something that up to now was not the case.
