My previous post on SPY outlined where to short the SPY on the bounce. That's why I followed up that post with this comment. Check out the links to the other charts I have posted. Sorry for the lack of clarity in the post.

Hi,
Thanks for the chart. I'm new to trading and curious why so many people seem to use SPY for analysis vs. S&P 500?

because you can't actually buy the index.
SPY is an index tracker fund designed to 'track/replicate' the S&P500 - investors then trade this exchange traded fund (ETF).

I understand the trading aspect of SPY, but in terms of analysis seems like many people use SPY or E-mini future rather then analysis of the chart of S&P 500. Thanks for the reply tho :)

SPY has been around long enough with an active enough trading volume and a 99.9% correlation, so you might as well analyze what you are going to trade.

Thanks Tim!

you dont think that next week Fed meeting. Cuz of the recent big move in the dollar, maybe the Fed gives a liitle more dovish language and we get a very short term relief rally, maybe to hourly gap fill at 208.31?
