If you sell a call and the price plummet the person you sold it to could execute the contract and you’d have to pay up?
GIFTEC
@matthewflores,

This isn't writing contracts.
This isn't sell to open. It is buy to open.

This is simple - buying an option then when it is profitable sell the option for the profit.
PlayerInvictus
sooooooooo buy puts for next wk?

@Neogenesist,

Uuuuuuuunh maybe. Uuuuuuuuuuunh maybe not. Depends.

@GIFTEC, right. my bad. i swing trade. my portfolio aint big enuff for daytrade
GIFTEC
@Neogenesist,

You don't need a big account to day trade.
If you trade from a non margin account the Pattern Day Trader Rule doesn't apply to you.

You DO NOT NEED $25,000 in your account to day trade if it is a CASH ACCOUNT.
You can trade with as little as you want.
The PDT rule only applies to MARGIN ACCOUNTS.

@GIFTEC, Talk to your broker to get details.
PlayerInvictus
@GIFTEC, idk man i haven't reached out to my broker but it does gives me warning for PDT.
PlayerInvictus
@GIFTEC, but ill reach out regardless. Thanks man!
GIFTEC
@Neogenesist, If you got a warning you are probably using a margin account but confirm with your broker to clarify.
