@willowparkmedical, TV doesn't allow promoting newsletters, websites, or posting links. This was an older post but you can go to my twitter account link in my tv profile and there are links there. Also you can look at more recent posts and look at the tags under the chart and the name of my newsletter and website is in the tags.

hi

Very good strategy. Do you still follow this strategy? When do you decide to go for straddle or strangle? Do you keep a SL? Is this strategy related to VIX movement? Like VIX above 18? How many days out you play? it appears (based on premium), that these are played on the day of expiration. Is it typical? Please provide feedback?
GIFTEC
@orkayen, I have a newsletter which just follows day trades for SPY options. We recently modified our strategy to follow one option at a time with multiple trades throughout the day. We still do list 2 trades in our email newsletter that we send out 1/2 hour before the open that can be used in a strangle strategy but our new methodology is stand alone but could be used in combination with a strangle strategy if that is what the subscriber wants to do. Their decision
VIX doesn't seem to have much affect other that it makes the options more expensive but that is offset with greater volatility.
Nearest expiration. Same day or next day options followed. Trades are done and completed usually in a couple of hours of less.
These were Fridays trades.

This is very interesting and makes great sense if you time entries properly. Thanks!
GIFTEC
@Joey.lhotsky, If you buy at the open you don't have to time the entry. Just manage the trade after taking the positions.

@GIFTEC, Makes sense, thank you, will try this week. Played around with Paper Trade with a longer exp and it was profitable so don’t see why this would now work most of the time
