If wicks dont matter why include them in the handle?

@oolookafishy, it still can go down with a "wick". But real traders use the body of the candle to chart for more accuracy. Wicks create the story..

Weeks of setup derailed by a Bitcoin correction? It seems that even if the handle recovers from below 2/3 of the cup, Bitcoin is due for more losses and this coin will follow after the potential breakout? Is this pattern still tradable? I’m no expert, I’m just trying to figure out how it might still work.
