If you do not yet use MACD, perhaps pull up the MACD chart as well. It will be a good indicator when the market is bearish or bullish and when the switch, short term or long term, occurs. When you plot MACD over, say 2 weeks, the MACD line might show a short term bullish trend, whereas the 3 month or 6 month trend might show a different story. Play with it.
