It's always hard to do rising channel trend lines just because of when you need to start them and end them... I like to use the highest lows of the rally (not the highest highs as you have done here) and the lowest highs of the declines (not the lowest lows of the declines). It can give you very specific channel lines that everyone would make exactly the same (which I like).

t.co/bGa6kH8HQn from my Twitter account; a basic definition of a trend; the idea behind is that a trend is on either side, at one point participants get rid of the security for any reasons, that makes an extreme, then prices back to the trend line, and are rejected to the direction of the trend, sometimes any sort of expectations make prices go further than the previous adapted trend line or fall short of that new line, but the trend is intact, higher lows in up, lower highs in down, middle prices in sideways.
