@scheplick good question at the moment. there may come a time where investors will move to less risky investments and money would then leave the stock market. the market can flip very quickly when smart money exits - stage left

@scheplick, yes - but the problem is that it's an existential issue, so the market wont care.
Yet, I do feel you and see three alternatives, maybe four that will play nicely on an equity exodus:
i) Gold
ii) Silver
iii) Platinum
iii.a) Not Palladium
iv.) Ethereum - only if it decouples from BTC a bit on its next corrective.
Otherwise, I think the next market will look like that of the 1970s, where metals and oil dominated via mining stocks and a skyrocketing underlying.
The main difference that I see for the next market and then is that nobody has the attention span to trade three (very plain) assets. Thus, I think alt coins may serve the same purpose that biotech penny stocks used to.
Agree with your point and its not going to be much fun unless you catch a long-term short at the top here.
