The mandatory retracement of XA at point B is 0.786 for a Butterfly according to Scott's methodology. Being new to those harmonic patterns, I wonder whether this methodology allows the flexibility that is implied by your graph.

I'm pretty sure it is flexible, countless harmonics (especially in FX) tend to miss there "proper" ratios but still work.

That being said i'm not a harmonics guy so I'm not 100% sure on that, I trade geometry but always see these harmonics in play as a result of the geometry behind the markets.
