@buyuksir, Tell me what would be your strategy to move GDP/capita from $8000 dollar to $16000?

@buyuksir, yes, at first sight, "it does not make sense", but overall your country's gov is the biggest manipulator on the market and your president may be actually NOT THAT clueless as many people say. usd/ try is just being manipulated by the Turkish central bank since years. The decision was made by your gov to make Turkish economy (manufacturies+ tourism) very competitive by offering very good quality/ price ratio. we will see how it will play out. But surely has to be very painful for people earning in lira and seeing how it is completely unattractive to save lira. Or how you can buy less and less for the same amount of lira, every month. In your president's opinion, money has to "flow" inside the economy, not to be stored, thats interesting concept, but pushed to the extreme by your president and gov.

@interloperxx, That is correct. He is trying to change the "spend money and import economy" to "produce more , manufacture and export" kinda economy. This should have been done decades ago. But there weren't a president like him who has good amount of balls to do just that. It is painful for us but it had to be done. Turkish economy will start to grow not with debt but with export in coming couple years. But the transition period will last at least 2 more years.
