Certainly could get choppy again soon; not so sure about this play though, a sideways grind could just slowly deflate VIX, lousy whipsaw markets make every trade a losing position, lol.

VIX can’t slowly deflate if there’s volatility.

@YoYoG, the VIX isn't an asset/equity but can be traded on most third and fourth markets as either CFD/Option or derivative contracts.. that's how I trade them;
It's not as simple as it being an inverted SPX: Calculate 30-day variance by interpolating the two variances, depending on the time to expiration of each. Take the square root to get volatility as standard deviation. Multiply the volatility (standard deviation) by 100. The result is VIX.
