The VIX is consolidating building a very strong Weekly base with a Major Buy Signal, that could fuel a stock market decline close at hand.
I keep a Daily Close Only/Weekly Bar Chart on the VIX.
On 7/27, you can see from the chart, their was a strong upward thrust,out of the base, (as seen on the chart) confirming the downside move, and a pull back late in the day to test the breakout.
A weekly close above 16.20 would confirm a significant BREAKOUT, which would CONFIRM that a significant stock market decline was underway.
