Vix measures option premium levels and is associated with large fear uncertain times. Bottoms in markets often have high vix level indicating investors desire for protection and large moves in the market.
But maybe we don't get a big spike in VIX. What's when it deviates only further sideways and everybody is waiting for the big VIX spike which will eventually not happen.... Maybe because FED is right, they did a soft landing ;)
