Hey man, can i transfer my FIAT directly from GDAX into a broker that offers gold/commodity trading? Thanks in advance!
Also do you have a favorite broker or a ref-link to shill?

@simo110j, 1broker has worked very well for me so far. (My affiliate registration link: 1broker.com/?r=13425 ). You can hold Bitcoin there as collateral for forex, commodity, and stock(very limited stock selection) trades with very significant leverage. This is the best option if you want to continue to hold Bitcoin and try to make more Bitcoin by trading traditional markets. However I do recommend diversifying out of crypto if it ends up becoming a large portion of your net worth. At one point this Spring I was degen trading altcoins with what became 98% of all I had and so I forced myself to sell a significant amount to USD for safe keeping and also for buying more stable assets like stocks.

If you are looking to sell out some into USD to trade stocks or commodities with, I recommend Schwab.com . And if you want to do this and be invested in gold and still experience the degen level volatility that we get in crypto, I recommend checking out JNUG or GDXJ (3x Leveraged Gold Mining Stock ETFs). Of course this isn't trading the price of gold itself so make sure you take that into account. If you really wanted to you could always just buy gold. There are vendors who are willing to sell gold in exchange for Bitcoin or who make it easy to exchange between the two.

Also be careful of copying traders on one broker, it is very easy to follow a trader who is doing particularly well and then just never log in, but this is extremely risky. I do not trust other traders with my money so I choose not to use that feature. If you end up trading over .2 BTC on your trades there, you can play the role of the trader to be copied, and if people start following you you can make a lot of money via commissions.

@ajdourgarian, Solid man, i was considering buying some physical silver, but i could imagine that it would be quite hard to sell afterwards, also at a good price, well as my portfolio grows blockchain is about 90% of my portfolio, think i'll look into mining-stocks like gold, silver and perhaps lithium (batteries are the future) just looking for experienced people in other markets, but it's hard to find good communities that have the necessary know-how (same in crypto) i guess i might have to use a few bucks on paid groups, who knows, thanks for the help anyway you also helped me out recently on twitter, i appreciate the feedback man ;-)

@simo110j, Will make sure to use your ref-links if i sign up for anything ;-)

@simo110j, For sure, thanks man! (: For buying physical metals I'd only recommend it for very long term investment, like 10 years or more. Another ETF I've invested in for long term is AFK, it is Vaneck Vector's Afrika ETF. It follows the value of a large array of stocks in Africa, so it is almost like investing in their entire economy. It is much more stable than individual stocks.

@ajdourgarian, That sounds very interesting, my main concern with stocks is the possibility of a financial crisis, which i think is kinda likely, history tends to repeat itself, and it's been some time, also according to the volatility we're seeing on the main indexes atm, price is sky high, looks kinda overbought to me, but i'm not an expert...

i could go on about afrika forever lol, how we made them privatize their mines and then bought them, and now donate money to them to make ourself feel better, while we're taking their main source of income, but that's another story :-)

@simo110j, Yes, I agree with your view of the stock market right now. Private African companies, however, would stand to benefit massively in the case of a western economic crash. So my holding that ETF is also a contrarian view on the western markets. Of course if it starts to look bearish, I will sell it without hesitation. The nice thing about it being so stable is that if I ever feel like I need to exit, I will have tons of time to make that decision.
