This chart is a follow on from my previous chart "Fools Gold?" and is an additional visualization to help us understand the relative value of Gold through recent history when adjusted for inflation. I've also added Silver in for comparison.

nice chart, I'm not a big fan of the CPI numbers though to estimate real inflation because don't they change how they calculate it every year?

@shootinshredder, all I can say in response is that if you look at "Fools Gold?" you can see that CPI aligns well with M1.
