Why would you assume a consolidative symmetrical triangle with higher lows would default to the downside, especially given the bullish move in Silver. Gold has 3-5 weeks of consolidation within 10-12 week cycles and this is no different. This is nothing more than a bullish pause.
This will likely break to the upside, especially when you look at many other underlying hints in the market - for example, the strength in miners.
