Break above will result in a false breakdown under it and is very bullish . RSI bounced of the descending trendline. A cross over the blue line on the rsi will confirmation of an upward trend.
I may be obviously wrong, but I am not so optimistic about gold in the short/medium term. I think there is room for more consolidation on the weekly, perhaps finding more support in the 1780-1800 area for the next bull leg up. My 2c.
