Considering both themacro backdrop and technical structure, I still favor the view that XAUUSD remains firmly in an uptrend, while the current pullbacks appear to be mainly a rebalancing phase within the broader bullish trend.
Fundamentally, gold continues to receive support from a weaker U.S. dollar and persistent safe-haven demand as geopolitical tensions remain elevated. Although U.S. Treasury yields are still high and upcoming inflation data could trigger stronger volatility, XAUUSD has remained relatively resilient. This suggests that defensive capital has not moved away from gold, while buyers continue to show interest at lower prices.
On the H1 chart, the bullish structure remains intact. Price is holding above the ascending trendline, while the 4,390–4,400 area has emerged as an important near-term support zone after XAUUSD reclaimed the Ichimoku area. As long as price holds this region — and particularly stays above 4,350–4,355 — buyers should retain the advantage. If momentum continues, 4,450 could be the first hurdle before attention shifts toward the more significant 4,495–4,500 area.
Overall, I still prefer a buy-the-dip approach rather than looking for short positions against the prevailing trend. With both the technical structure and broader capital flows continuing to support gold, buyers remain better positioned to control the short-term direction.
