What is not good?
sorry my bad. got confused by all the lines... thought you were saying long. that being said, daily could also be interpreted as higher lows and thus not indicating a resumption of a strong bear trend, but the opposite. forget the TIs for a moment. on my daily chart, i see that the latest short drop is almost over. so question now is to see whether or not market goes into ranging mode before resuming drop, or ranging mode with short positions closing and reversal and if this reversal will be fueled by new long position entering market.

weekly view is nice, but seeing how manipulated and very short time (intraday) the moves in gold market are, personally i'm leery using anything higher than daily chart to decide on entry/exit points. but that's just me.

interesting. i never quite understood how the pitchfork could be of any use. sometimes it seems that price is finding sppt/rsst on some of the fork lines, and sometimes it's as if they didn't exist. i thus began to suspect that the forklines must sometime coincide with some more fundamental level, some more hidden geometry inherent in the very dynamic of market price structure as it evolves through time. but how to uncover these hidden structures and their cyclical recurrences? because that is what this is. we are dealing with cycles withing cycles. and so, i started developing this algo to find what those cycles are. behold! here is the result:
