If it is a wedge, than the wave marking that would be more appropriate - is a running flat in the wave 2, where this wedge is the wave C of the wave 2

Wedge can not be the whole corrective structure, as it is a single wave. At least you need an abc, where a “wedge” can be wave A (in terms of Elliott wave principles - a leading diagonal), or a wave C (“ending diagonal”).
