I usually don't do these kinds of posts but with everyone acting out their corona-induced panic-mode .. why not join in the fun.
Ripple is one of the biggest in the crypto industry with an enormous list of (potential) partners, (trying to) give swift a run for their money. XRP is just one part of their business. There have been quite a lot of struggles with officials and cryptospace, find one that hasn't been charged with something, hasn't had some allegations spread. How likely is it this will end bad for XRP/Ripple or what are the chances this will be resolved in some fashion (fines paid, settlements, moving business out of the US, etc. etc.)
Disclaimer: I am neither fanboy nor hater, it's just business as usual for me. Just a coin, like all of them, with it's pros and contras, some better some worse.
It is really impossible to tell for sure but I like that yellow line for better or for worse to dictate what's coming. Just combed through the CEO's letter that was sent to employees and has since been shared on social media, it does appear heartfelt. He indicates that both himself and fellow execs have turned down offers to settle with the SEC. It is odd that on his way out, the head of the SEC decided to take this action now. Does he align with central banks either implicitly or explicitly? They want harm done to Crypto and this certainly brings some pain to XRP.
Either the folks at Ripple have a case and are holding the line for the entire crypto space or they are crooks. I'm not privy to all the violations or rather the rules that they have allegedly violated. If XRP survives, they are at risk of being stuck below these resistance levels which we thought were in the rear-view. Likely there are better looking investments and I'm kicking myself for not selling XLM/XRP 10 days ago..but I'm holding as of now
