The government are very good at manipulating people into doing what they want them to almost like string puppets, scare mongering is there favorite hobby, they feed and get rich off peoples fear.
When something like this happens people rush out and invest in Gold pushing the price higher so the big institutions can make loads of money off peoples stupidity.
