Yes for me trade is still active and XVG is in one of my long term bags. I rarely day trade it (maybe it's insane) because I am always expecting it to rise bit by bit. I think XVG get's a lot of misplaced pumps because of hypes, but that is also good in a way. The community is very strong, they have adapted very well within the social media and seeing is winning.
Along side with big partnership of pornhub, other big and small partnerships, strong community and on big foot in the "real" world, this currency is perfect for long term.
I only fill up my bag, rarely sell anything as mentioned before.
