Breakdown

Yamana Gold Corp.'s progress from continuous operations has been processed and action from it's stock price has been divided into four segments and/or periods. The following is descriptions of the events withing those periods.

Sideways Trading Period (Feb. - Jun.)

Sideways trading is revealed through sideways momentum and low overall volatility. Segment has low significance with the effect and profitability of the stock.

Downtrend & Errors Period (Jun. - Aug.)

The downtrend portion of this segmented period demonstrates the first major fall int he stock price with relation to poor Gold prices at the time. Bearish cloud is prevalent and the price action is trading below the cloud. The conversion line is considerably lower than the base line suggesting a strong downtrend. The MAC D shows two instances of convergence errors where short bullish trends where unable to be created. An "inverted wedge" pattern can be viewed as a result of such a trend.

Positive Correction Period (Aug. - Oct.)

This period introduces a short lived uptrend with the second a bearish trend sending the price to a 52 week low of barely over $ 2 per share. The large volume in the MAC D indicator suggest oversold periods resulting in a lower share price. Fortunately a positive convergence appeared in the MAC D, providing a secure uptrend in the future. In the Ichimoku Cloud, the conversion line surpasses the base line and the price action begins an uptrend.

Cloud Break Period (Oct. - Today)

The magnitude of the later changes suggest a large bullish trend which can be viwed in this segmented period. A cloud break can be seen as well as a Bullish Cloud formation. This is good news for the share price as earnings have increased and Gold has appreciated value.
