DDOG - NEW ALL TIME HIGHDDOG - CURRENT PRICE : 207.98
This is a weekly chart of DDOG, and the overall structure continues to look bullish after successfully breaking into a new all time high territory 🚀 The breakout is supported by strong volume expansion, showing that buying pressure is increasing instead of weakening. At the same time, MACD is starting to turn bullish again, suggesting momentum may just be entering a stronger phase. ⚡
The interesting part is when looking at the vertical green lines on the chart. Previously, there were two similar setups where DDOG experienced high volume together with MACD turning bullish from lower levels. After those signals appeared, the stock continued trending steadily higher for a prolonged period. 👀
Now, the market is showing a very similar structure once again. Price is breaking out to fresh highs while volume remains elevated, indicating strong participation from buyers. MACD also starts expanding upward, which may suggest momentum continuation rather than a short-term spike.
As long as DDOG continues holding above the breakout zone and previous ATH area, the bullish structure remains intact. If history repeats itself like the previous setups marked by the vertical green lines, DDOG may continue its strong uptrend from here. 🔥

Datadog Inc. (DDOG)Datadog Inc. (DDOG): A Blowout Quarter Validates AI-Native Momentum and Resilient Cloud Demand
Datadog Inc. (NASDAQ: DDOG) emerged as one of the standout performers in recent trading sessions, surging 13.74% to close at $129.67 following the release of exceptionally strong fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 financial results. The rally extended a three-day winning streak and underscored a decisive shift in market sentiment toward the cloud monitoring and cybersecurity platform. With revenue growth accelerating, large deal momentum intensifying, and AI-native customer adoption gaining traction, Datadog has delivered a powerful rebuttal to the broader "SaaSpocalypse" narrative that weighed on software valuations throughout early 2026.
The Earnings Breakdown: Top-Line Strength, Bottom-Line Nuance
Datadog's fourth-quarter performance was unequivocally robust by nearly every top-line metric. Revenue surged 29% year-over-year to $953 million, substantially exceeding both management's guidance and consensus analyst expectations. This acceleration from the 27% full-year growth rate—which saw annual revenues climb from $2.68 billion in 2024 to $3.4 billion in 2025—demonstrates that Datadog's core business is not merely stabilizing but actively re-accelerating.
Operating margins remained best-in-class at 24.1%, reflecting disciplined cost management and operating leverage even as the company invests aggressively in product innovation and go-to-market expansion. Earnings per share of $0.59 surpassed consensus estimates, although full-year net income declined 41% to $107.7 million, a metric overshadowed by the strength of the company's revenue trajectory and forward outlook.
Management provided constructive near-term guidance, projecting first-quarter revenue in the range of $951 million to $961 million, with the midpoint comfortably above market consensus. Full-year 2026 revenue is expected to land between $4.06 billion and $4.10 billion, implying a still-healthy growth rate of approximately 19% at the midpoint. While this represents a deceleration from 2025's 27% growth, the guide is widely viewed by analysts as conservative and achievable, leaving room for upside execution throughout the year.
Rosenblatt's Conviction: Buy Rating and $185 Price Target Reaffirmed
In the aftermath of the report, Rosenblatt analyst Blair Abernethy moved swiftly to reaffirm his Buy rating and $185 price target, expressing confidence that Datadog's robust execution and expanding AI tailwinds more than offset management's cautious posture. Abernethy highlighted several key takeaways from the quarter:
AI-Native Customer Momentum: Datadog is increasingly becoming the observability platform of choice for AI-native startups and enterprises deploying machine learning workloads. This cohort not only consumes significant platform resources but also exhibits high retention and expansion rates.
Large Deal Acceleration: The company experienced a notable surge in seven-figure transactions and expanded relationships with existing enterprise customers, contributing to a sharp upward inflection in bookings. This indicates that Datadog's land-and-expand motion remains highly effective, even in a cautious IT spending environment.
Cloud Migration and Digital Transformation Durability: Despite fears of a slowdown, enterprises continue to migrate mission-critical workloads to the cloud and modernize their application architectures. Datadog's observability, security, and software delivery tools are increasingly embedded in these workflows, creating durable, long-term revenue streams.
Abernethy characterized management's FY26 revenue growth guidance of approximately 18.5% to 19.6% as "conservative," suggesting that the company's early momentum in the fiscal year and continued market share gains could support upside revisions as the year progresses.
Market Context: From "SaaSpocalypse" to Sector Rotation
Datadog's powerful rally must be contextualized within the broader software sector's recent volatility. Entering 2026, the so-called "SaaSpocalypse" narrative dominated investor discourse, driven by fears that autonomous AI agents would fundamentally disrupt traditional seat-based subscription models. The thesis posited that enterprises would rapidly replace human workers—and their associated software licenses—with AI agents, compressing total addressable markets for established SaaS vendors.
However, a counter-narrative has begun to gain traction, catalyzed by a Barclays research report arguing that corporate transitions away from legacy systems and workflows take years, not weeks. Established incumbents with deep integrations, compliance certifications, and governance capabilities possess protective moats that cannot be easily circumvented overnight. Institutional investors, recognizing that the sell-off had pushed high-quality names like Datadog into deeply oversold territory, have begun rotating back into "sticky" software franchises with durable competitive advantages.
Datadog's 15.6% single-session surge following its earnings release represented only the 23rd move greater than 5% over the past year, but the magnitude and conviction behind the rally signaled a fundamental repricing of the company's risk profile and growth trajectory.
Technical Positioning: Reclaiming Lost Ground
Despite the recent rally, Datadog stock remains 33.8% below its 52-week high of $199.72 reached in November 2025, and is down approximately 1.2% year-to-date. For long-term shareholders, the recovery is still in its early innings. An investor who purchased $1,000 of DDOG stock five years ago would now hold shares worth approximately $1,144—a modest return that underscores the importance of the current valuation reset and growth re-acceleration narrative.
Critical Risk Consideration: The $60 Danger Zone
While Datadog's fundamental trajectory is demonstrably positive, prudent investors must remain cognizant of the stock's historical volatility and the potential for severe drawdowns during periods of multiple compression or sector-wide de-risking. The single most important risk management level to monitor is the $60.00 danger zone.
This level represents a critical technical and psychological threshold. A breach below $60 would imply a complete unwind of the post-IPO premium and a structural repricing of Datadog's long-term growth expectations. Such a move would likely be precipitated not by company-specific execution failures, but by a broader macro-driven collapse in software valuations or a fundamental reassessment of the observability market's total addressable opportunity. While not the base case, the identification of this danger zone provides investors with a clear risk management boundary and a level at which the investment thesis would require rigorous re-evaluation.
CEO Olivier Pomel: AI-Powered Innovation as the Next Chapter
In prepared remarks accompanying the earnings release, CEO Olivier Pomel articulated a forward-looking vision centered on artificial intelligence:
*"Looking forward to 2026, we are excited about our plans to deliver more AI-powered innovation and help our customers with their complex challenges in modern Observability, Security, Software Delivery, Service Management, and Product Analytics."*
This statement is significant not merely as corporate messaging, but as a strategic roadmap. Datadog intends to embed AI capabilities across its entire product portfolio, enhancing anomaly detection, root cause analysis, and automated remediation. By doing so, the company aims to increase the value proposition of its platform, deepen customer stickiness, and expand its addressable market beyond traditional observability into adjacent domains like security and service management.
Conclusion: A Quality Name Reasserting Leadership
Datadog's fourth-quarter report was a decisive statement of resilience and relevance. In an environment where software investors have grown skeptical of growth narratives and wary of valuation compression, the company delivered accelerating revenue, robust margins, and credible AI-driven upside. Rosenblatt's reiterated conviction and $185 price target reflect a growing consensus that Datadog is not merely a beneficiary of cyclical cloud spending, but a secular compounder with multiple levers for sustained double-digit growth.
For investors, the path forward requires balancing justified optimism against disciplined risk management. The stock's strong momentum and improving fundamental narrative support continued upside toward analyst targets, but the memory of the 2025-2026 drawdown and the identification of the $60 danger zone serve as important reminders of the volatility inherent in even the highest-quality software franchises. In Datadog, investors have a best-in-class operator executing at a high level; the task now is to remain vigilant as the company navigates the transition toward AI-native infrastructure monitoring and the next phase of its corporate evolution.
Death Cross Reversal — Short SetupBias: Short while price remains below 131
The technical structure supports a bearish continuation the trend - following a confirmed Death Cross, signaling a sustained downside regime. Trend strength remains meaningful with ADX 26**, while momentum indicators reinforce the bearish bias — the 4h MACD histogram is negative and 1h RSI remains below neutral, indicating persistent short-term selling pressure.
Sentiment is strongly negative for the Datadog, aligning with the technical outlook and increasing the probability of near-term downside follow-through.

DDOG | Strong Momentum | LONGDatadog, Inc. engages in the development of a monitoring and analytics platform for developers, information technology operations teams and business users. Its platform integrates and automates infrastructure monitoring, application performance monitoring and log management to provide real-time observability of its customers' entire technology stack. The company was founded by Olivier Pomel and Alexis Le-Quoc on June 4, 2010 and is headquartered in New York, NY.
Datadog's S&P 500 Entry: A New Tech Paradigm?Datadog (DDOG), a leading cloud observability platform, recently marked a significant milestone with its inclusion in the S&P 500 index. This pivotal announcement, made on July 2, 2025, confirmed Datadog's replacement of Juniper Networks (JNPR), effective before the opening of trading on Wednesday, July 9. The unscheduled change followed Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Co.'s (HPE) completion of its acquisition of Juniper Networks on the same day. The market reacted robustly, with Datadog shares surging by approximately 9.40% in extended trading following the news, reaching a five-month high and underscoring the anticipated "index effect" from passive fund inflows. Datadog's market capitalization, approximately $46.63 billion as of July 2, 2025, significantly exceeded the updated S&P 500 minimum threshold of $22.7 billion, effective July 1, 2025.
Datadog's financial performance further solidifies its position. The company reported $762 million in revenue and $24.6 million in GAAP net income for the first quarter of 2025. For the full year 2024, Datadog generated $2.68 billion in revenue. While the document suggested a cloud observability market valued at "over $10 billion," independent verification from sources like Mordor Intelligence indicates the "observability platform market" was valued at approximately $2.9 billion in 2025, projected to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 15.9% to reach $6.1 billion by 2030. Other analyses, like Market Research Future, project the "Full-Stack Observability Services Market" to be $8.56 billion in 2025 with a higher CAGR of 22.37% through 2034, highlighting varying market definitions. Datadog operates within a competitive landscape, facing rivals such as Elastic and cloud giants like Amazon and Microsoft, alongside Cisco, which completed its acquisition of Splunk on March 18, 2024.
The S&P committee's decision to include Datadog, despite other companies like AppLovin boasting a higher market capitalization of $114.65 billion (as of July 2, 2025), underscores a strategic preference for foundational enterprise technology addressing critical infrastructure needs. This move signals an evolving S&P 500 that increasingly reflects software-defined infrastructure management and analytics as a core economic driver, moving beyond traditional hardware or consumer-facing software. While Workday's inclusion was cited as occurring in 2012 in the original document, it was added to the S&P 500 effective December 23, 2024, preceding its significant growth in the enterprise SaaS sector. Datadog's ascension thus serves as a powerful signal of the technological segments achieving critical mass and institutional validation, guiding future investment and strategic planning in the enterprise technology landscape.
DDOG's Shakeout & Squeeze: The Setup for an Explosive Reversal? The price of DDOG appears poised for a dip slightly below the upward trendline and Fibonacci support zone (126-116) before finding strong support. This could act as a liquidity grab, shaking out weaker positions before an explosive move higher. Compression on the weekly timeframe would be an ideal signal, with tight price action and decreasing volatility indicating accumulation. A bullish reversal confirmation, such as a strong engulfing candle, pin bar, or a breakout above short-term resistance, would provide a high-probability entry. Monitoring RSI for a hold above oversold levels and a curl upward, along with volume expansion on the breakout, will add further conviction to the trade.

Datadog: S&P 500 Candidate?! Key Levels to Watch Now!Hi there,
When we talk about the most respected stocks in the market, getting added to the S&P 500 index is a big milestone for any company. It’s not just a status symbol—it’s an event that can push the stock price higher as funds and investors rush to buy it.
Datadog (DDOG) is one of the potential candidates , so let’s analyze what the price action is telling us.
Technical Breakdown:
Right now, Datadog stock is testing a key support level of around $130. This price level has acted as both resistance and support in the past, and in November last year, the stock broke above it. Now, it has come back to retest this level, possibly looking for a base before making its next move.
If $130 holds as support, and the company’s fundamentals remain strong, this could be a solid entry point for buyers.
A secondary support zone to watch is near $100, about 25% lower than the current price. This level has seen big price movements before, meaning there could be strong interest from traders and investors if the stock drops there.
As legendary investor Peter Lynch once said:
"If you sell instead of buying when a stock drops 25%, you won’t achieve long-term profits in stocks."
This idea is also the foundation of my approach – what to do when the price drops? Am I ready to buy more at lower prices? If the answer is something like “probably not,” “not sure,” etc., then it’s worth considering whether it’s even worth buying in the first place!
Plans for different types of investors:
Short-Term Investors: If you’re looking for a quick trade, you might want to wait for a dip to $100, where a stronger bounce could happen. Buying from current prices can be a bit risky considering short-term horizons.
Long-Term Investors: If you believe in Datadog’s continued growth, the $130 level might already be a good spot to start buying. But be ready to buy more if the price drops further.
Final Thoughts:
Datadog is a fast-growing company with strong fundamentals, but the stock also has a high valuation and faces competition. As always, do your own research and make sure your investment strategy fits your risk level and goals.
Cheers,
Vaido

DDOGDDOGis currently in a long-term negative trend, with monthly and weekly candles showing 2D movement (i.e., dropping below the previous period's low), indicating overall seller dominance. However, in the short term, the daily chart shows signs of correction with positive movement (2U), creating a conflict with the broader trends.
On the daily chart, it is evident that the decline has halted around the gap that was previously opened, and it has even closed. This indicates a strong support level in the $136-$138 range, which could serve as a potential turning point in the short term.
To confirm a more significant trend reversal, a clear breakout above the $140 level is required, signaling a shift back to positive momentum even in the longer time frames. As long as the stock remains below these levels, the risk of continued negative pressure remains high.
At this stage, the recommended strategy is to wait for clear confirmation of a trend reversal in the longer time frames while closely monitoring the behavior around the key levels and the recently closed gap.
DDOG going down to channel bottom ? DDOG technically is in a bear trend since Feb
Long term its in bullish channel but currently going through a channel down movement
Entry should be made only when a bullish reversal is confirmed . Currently its a falling knife
Next strongest and channel support is around 98 to 102 area if it bounces back from there then
safe entry would be at 130+

Datadog's Earnings Report: Navigating Through the Guidance DipDatadog ( NASDAQ:DDOG ), the New York-based software maker renowned for its monitoring and analytics platform, recently unveiled its fourth-quarter earnings, sending ripples through the investment community. While the company showcased robust performance in both earnings and revenue, its 2024 guidance fell short of expectations, triggering a temporary dip in NASDAQ:DDOG stock. Let's delve deeper into Datadog's financial narrative and decipher the implications of its guidance miss.
Earnings Triumph Amidst Guidance Headwinds:
Datadog's ( NASDAQ:DDOG ) fourth-quarter earnings painted a picture of resilience and growth. With earnings per share surging 70% year-over-year to 44 cents on an adjusted basis and revenue climbing 26% to $589.6 million, the company outpaced analyst projections. This stellar performance underscored Datadog's ( NASDAQ:DDOG ) prowess in catering to the evolving needs of software developers and IT departments.
Guidance Disappointment:
However, the spotlight swiftly shifted to Datadog's ( NASDAQ:DDOG ) 2024 guidance, which failed to meet Wall Street's expectations. While the company forecasted a profit of $1.41 per share at the midpoint, analysts had anticipated $1.77 per share. Similarly, Datadog's ( NASDAQ:DDOG ) revenue outlook of $2.565 billion fell short of the $2.586 billion projected by analysts. This deviation from consensus estimates injected a dose of uncertainty into the market, causing NASDAQ:DDOG stock to initially slide by 9%.
Analyzing the Numbers:
Despite the guidance miss, Datadog's ( NASDAQ:DDOG ) projected revenue for 2024 represents a healthy 23% year-over-year increase. This growth trajectory, albeit slightly below expectations, underscores the company's resilience and potential for sustained expansion. Moreover, Datadog's partnership with Amazon Web Services positions it strategically within the burgeoning cloud computing landscape, providing a solid foundation for future growth.
Investor Sentiment and Road Ahead:
As Datadog ( NASDAQ:DDOG ) gears up for its investor day on February 15th, all eyes will be on the company's strategic roadmap and initiatives to capitalize on emerging opportunities. While the guidance miss may have sparked short-term volatility, long-term investors may view this as an opportune moment to accumulate shares in a company poised for continued innovation and market leadership.
Conclusion:
Datadog's ( NASDAQ:DDOG ) recent earnings report encapsulates the dichotomy of triumph and challenge in the dynamic world of technology stocks. While the company's stellar performance in Q4 underscores its underlying strength, the guidance miss serves as a reminder of the inherent volatility in the market. As investors await further insights from Datadog's ( NASDAQ:DDOG ) upcoming investor day, the company remains poised to navigate through headwinds and chart a course towards sustainable growth and value creation.
