According to the Solana team on X, Interactive Brokers will open regulated crypto trading in Europe on 31 March 2026, including direct access to SOL for its brokerage clients. The mechanism is a new fiat on-ramp: traditional investors can buy and sell SOL through existing stock and ETF accounts, with custody and compliance handled by Interactive Brokers. This expands potential access to a broad European investor base, lowering operational and regulatory friction. Such integrations can increase spot liquidity and structural demand over time, and may also reduce SOL’s perceived regulatory and operational risk premium in portfolios.
