BKW's conservative guidance drags shares to bottom of STOXX

RefinitivLess than 1 min read

** Shares in Swiss utility BKW BKW fall 10% after it gave a 2025 guidance analysts view as conservative

** It guides for EBIT of 650-750 million Swiss francs ($738-852 million) this year, below LSEG consensus of 796 million francs

** "The outlook might be too conservative without any positive surprises, all good news priced in, further upside is limited," Research Partners analyst Eugen Perger says

** Baader Helvea analysts say BKW is known for guiding conservatively, but add that given the cautious-looking outlook, 2024 results don't look like the catalyst some might have hoped for

** The stock falls to the bottom of the pan-European STOXX 600 index SXXP and is on track for its worst day since June 2023
