Bahrain considers new index for interbank transactions - central bank

Bahrain is considering launching a new index for dinar interest rates on interbank financing transactions, the state news agency cited the central bank governor as saying on Sunday.

Governor Rasheed Mohammed al-Maraj said the step was part of a strategy to develop the finiancial services sector for the period 2022-2026.
